Tai Chi Dao Yin Chi Kung Health Benefits include Improving Inner Strength, Balance, Flexibility, Energy and Coordination

The Modern Creator with a background in Tai Chi

Dao Yin Yang Sheng Gong, a way to keep in good health through traditional Chinese medical exercises, was compiled and re-created in 1976 by Professor Zhang Guangde of China. It is based on Traditional Chinese Medical (TCM) theories such as the cause and pathology of disease, Yin and Yang, Five Elements, Internal Organs and Channels.

Professor Zhang Guande was born in 1932, son of a doctor's family in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, China. In 1955 he studied Wu Shu at the famous Beijing Institute of Physical Education - now University - where he graduated in Wu Shu as a student and progressing to Senior Professor of the University.

In 1974 Professor Zhang was diagnosed with a severe illness which could have threatened his life and could not be cured medically. His love of studying of traditional Chinese medicines, Tai Chi Chuan and also in particular the methods of Dao Yin enabled him to develop a system of health exercise to overcome his own illness, and which now benefits thousands of people world-wide.

What is Dao Yin Self Healing Exercises?

It is a newly revived and modernised exercise for self-help in fitness and health. It is simple, coherent, beautifully graceful, soft and smooth and scientifically based.

These therapeutic exercises harmonise and integrate the relationships between physical exercise, breathing exercise and mental cultivation of serenity and concentration. It has much in common with Tai Chi and Chi Kung.

As in practices of Chinese Medicine such as acupuncture and acupressure, it also works by encouraging the cultivation of a smooth flow of Chi, or vital energy, throughout the body and to specific parts of the body.

What are the benefits of practise?

Performing the techniques will help you to feel physically and mentally refreshed. It will gradually and easily improve your physical flexibility and strength; promote mental relaxation, concentration and alertness. It can assist in resolving or preventing health problems in the various systems of the body such as the heart and circulatory system; the nervous, respiratory, digestive, skeletal and muscular systems.

Who can do it?

It is suitable for people of all ages and levels of physical fitness so that they can work towards their own good health. It especially provides a comprehensive new discipline for the elderly, the middle-aged and for people with certain illnesses to assist in regaining their health and fitness. You'll protect and improve your health.

Proven Results

How does it work?

Based on the combination of Chinese Medicine, Tai Chi and Chi Kung, the gentle breathing, meditation and special body movements clear blockages and build up Chi (the vital force) in the body.

Dao Yin is composed of gentle, graceful movements similar to those performed in Tai Chi - you won't pound or strain your body and each short exercise set is easy to learn and practice.

By improving the function of internal organs and life support systems of your body, these healing exercises assist in resolving and preventing common health problems such as stress, fatigue, arthritis, anxiety, diabetes, digestive disorders, and heart and lung conditions.

Health Benefits of Dao Yin as Therapeutic Exercises

A valuable self-help health practice, it assists you to prevent or recover from conditions such as stress, fatigue, arthritis, anxiety, depression, kidney conditions, heart and lung conditions and injuries.

The exercises are easy to learn and practice. They are excellent for people who have been ill or injured and want to get back to good health.

Dao Yin has three aspects that make it such a valuable contributor to health care.

1. Preventive. You don’t have to be ill or injured to benefit. People in good health should practice it in order to maintain and enhance their physical vigor, improve their emotional strength, and strengthen their immune system.

2. Curative. People experiencing an illness or injury (for example a heart condition), may practice the specific exercises designed to help alleviate that condition.

Please keep in mind that it is not claimed that Dao Yin Yang Sheng Gong is a substitute for conventional medicine. Use of the curative aspect of Dao Yin should always be with the understanding and advice of your medical practitioner. Under no circumstances should you substitute these exercises for prescribed medications.

3. Dao Yin Yang Sheng Gong is Recuperative. For example, someone who has suffered an illness might use the appropriate exercises during his or her recovery in order to assist in recuperation or rehabilitation to normal life. Once again, these exercises should not be included in a recovery programme without the full support of one’s doctor.
