Si Jie Darlene Beauchamp
Accredited Tai Chi Instructor


Darlene has Trained and practiced Tai Chi (TC) for over 14 years with the Golden Lion Academy under Si Gung Charles Tsui Po. She attained her accreditation as an instructor / coach, and has taught various TC forms at the Academy over the past 12 years.

In 2002, Darlene traveled to Beijing and briefly studied TC at the Beijing Institute of Sport. Darlene says, “ This experience gave me a true insight in to the deep tradition behind the art”.

Darlene has competed in National and International competitions for the past 10 years. This has taken her to China as an Australian representative in 2004 and 2006 at the World Traditional Wushu Championships. She has also competed in National and State Championships around Australia winning many titles.

Darlene is currently training for her 4th degree Black belt in TC.

  • NOAS Accredited Judge
  • Has won over 25 Gold, 14 silver and 11 Bronze over the last 9 years of competition
  • 2011 Australasian Kung Fu Wushu Championships:

    Tai Chi Yang 40 Bare Hands - Gold
    Tai Chi 42 Sword - Gold
  • 2011 Hong Kong Wushu Championships:
    Tai Chi Wudang Sword - Gold
    Tai Chi Yang 40 Bare Hands - Gold
    Tai Chi 42 Sword - Bronze
  • 2010, 42 Form Sword Seminar - Prof. Yang Li of the Beijing University of Physical Education.
  • 2008 AKWF National TC Grand Champion at the Australian National Kung Fu and Wu Shu Championships held in Canberra.
  • Double Gold medallist, 2nd World Traditional Wushu Festival, Zhengzhou China, 2006
  • Gold Medal and Trophy Winner, Competition Team, in the 1st World Traditional Wushu Festival, Zhengzou China 2004
  • Gold and Silver medallist, 1st World Traditional Wushu Festival, Zhengzhou China 2004
  • Competed in 3 Australian National Team Trials
  • Accredited TC Instructor with Australian Sports Commission (NCAS) National Coaching Accreditation Scheme since 2002.
