Si Jie Elizabeth (Liz) Simpson Accredited Tai Chi Instructor

Liz Simpson joined the Golden Lion Academy in 1999, looking for a way to combine light, physical exercise with mental relaxation, to help ease the stresses of day-to-day life. However, she quickly discovered there is far more to tai chi than just moving meditation and readily admits that it’s a sport in which you are always learning and achieving, be it relating to the philosophy, the physical, spiritual or the martial art aspects.Liz will tell you of the warm welcome she received on her first day from Si Gung Charles Tsui-Po and the other instructors and students alike, and finds the friendly, whilst soothing and tranquil atmosphere of the academy, an important aspect of her enjoyment of the sport. In 2010 Liz became accredited as a tai chi instructor and hopes to share her love of tai chi and the skills and knowledge she has learnt, and is continuing to learn at the Golden Lion Academy, in that same friendly, peaceful way. |
