Tai Chi Grading Second Degree Black Belt Certification for Si Jie Gillian Talbot

Tai Chi (Tai Ji Quan) Grading Second Degree Black Belt Certification for Si Jie Gillian Talbot

If I was able to cheer during a grading, I would have said “Yah, Si Jie Gill!” along with whistles and applauds from the other spectators.

On Saturday 5 July 2008 Si Jie Gillian successfully obtained her 2nd Degree black belt in Tai Ji Quan. Years of hard work, preparation and dedication for this final moment showcasing her knowledge and aptitude for Tai Ji Quan routines, push hands and self defence applications.

Si Jie Gillian showed a real sense of grace and poise throughout her grading. Her stances were grounded, the movements flowed effortlessly and her spirit remained focus. This was in spite of the large turnout of family, friends, Tai Ji Quan and Kung Fu instructors and students, who had come to watch giving their support and to silently cheer her on.

Si Jie Gillian has been training at Golden Lion Academy for about 14 years and opened up her own successful satellite school about 10 years ago in the Emerald district. She recently competed in the 3rd World Traditional Wushu Festival, held earlier this month in Shiyan City in the Hubei Province in China.
