Kheng Lau
Accredited Tai Chi Instructor

Kheng first started Tai Chi in the early '70s under the guidance of her father, a Wu style practitioner. She also trained in Kung Fu in her teenage years. In the early '90s, she trained for several years, in karate and also took up yoga.

However, her thoughts and passion for TC were never far away and she recommenced learning TC in 2001. In 2003, she underwent surgery for cancer and five months later, had shoulder surgery. During these months, she continued to practise TC, which she believed, played a vital role in her physical and mental recovery.

She says, “I have always believed that things happen for a reason. Because TC had benefited me immensely during both my post-surgery recovery phases, I decided to join Golden Lion in January 2004 and made a commitment to make TC a part of my daily life.”

As an instructor, her goal is to share this amazing art with others, so they too, can experience its benefits. “It is a most satisfying feeling to be able to make a difference to people's lives as well as my own”.
