Lynne Byrne
Tai Chi Accredited Instructor



Lynne is a Tai Chi (TC) Senior Instructor training and teaching with the Golden Lion Academy since 1994. She teaches both beginner and advanced classes in her own Satellite School in the Gippsland area.

She is employed by the West Gippsland HealthCare Group in Warragul and the Latrobe Community Health Care Services in Moe to teach "TC for Balance" Classes. A number of her classes are structured specifically to benefit those clients affected by Cancer, Fibromyalgia, Lymphoedema and Parkinson’s disease.

Accreditations and training include:

  • Dao Yin Qi Gong training with Professor Zhang Guande, Summer Camp Monash
  • Training trips to China’s, Beijing University and Beijing Institute of Sport
  • Training with Master Ma Jinlong April Workshop 2007
  • Participant in T.V. Program, Channel 31 (‘Move It Or Lose It) with Senior Master Charles Tsui-Po
  • National Coaching Accreditation, recognized by the Australian Sports Commission
  • First Aid Certificate, Level 2
  • TC Black Belt 2nd Degree within the Golden Lion Academy.
  • Gold Medal Winner Over 45, 2002 and 2003 National TC and Wushu Championships
  • Gold Medal Winner Over 45, Open Championships T.C.A.A. 2004
  • Gold Medal Winner, Competition Team, in the 1st World Traditional Wushu Festival, Zhengzou China 2004.
