Tai Chi Students of Golden Lion Outright Winners in 2009 Victorian and Queensland Tournaments

Below are results of tai chi (tai ji quan)competitions held in 2009 in Australia, which were the Victorian and Queensland State titles. Students of the Golden Lion Academy were outright winners in both these Chinese martial arts wu shu tournaments.

Victorian WTPA Tai Ji Quan Titles

Congratulations to the following competitors at the 11th WTPA and Taijiquan Festival incorporating the AKWF Victorian Championships held in Melbourne on August 30.

– 1st Place Men’s Advanced Beijing 24

- 1st Place Yang 40 and

- 1st Place 32 Sword

Gemma Walsh

– 1st Place in Women’s Advanced Beijing 24

- 1st Place International 42 and

- 1st Place Sabre

Michael Dobrunz – Men’s Over 45 Years

- 1st Place Yang 40

- 1st Place Sun 73 Sun and

- 1st Place International 42

Mark Beavis – Men’s Over 45 Years

- 1st Place International 42

- 2nd Place Beijing 24 and

- 3rd Place Yang 40 Fan

Bradley Jarvis was awarded the Male Most Valued TC Practitioner

Gemma Walsh was awarded Female Most Valued TC Practitioner
